How I learned this trade, one repair at a time
Before I ran my own business, I spent years doing upkeep for a property management company. I patched block walls, reset loose pavers and redid worn mortar on rental after rental, and that taught me masonry the slow way, by fixing it. It also showed me how much a rushed fix costs the next person who has to deal with it.
I started R&L Lancaster Concrete and Masonry here in Lancaster in 2017, and we're best known for repair work done carefully and explained clearly. Homeowners call us, and so do landlords and property managers who want a wall or a chimney looked after properly. When something has cracked or let go, I want to fix the reason it failed, not just the spot you can see, because otherwise you're paying for the same repair twice. I come out to look at your job and write the estimate myself, and then our own crew does the work while I check in on it. At the end I walk the finished job with you, so nothing said at the estimate gets lost on the way to the crew. We're licensed and fully insured, with satisfaction guaranteed on every job.

Permits sorted with the right office
We check with the building office that covers your address, which in Lancaster is the city's Building & Safety division and elsewhere may be another city or the county. When a job needs a permit, we apply for it as your contractor and set up the inspections, so you're not left figuring it out alone.
